It is with profound gratitude to our Lord Jesus Christ and to those who had the wisdom and the foresight to render their hands to support the effort of those of us who have been in one way or another involved in the ministry of helping the new church development for new immigrants from various countries of Asia in the 1960's with the support of Presbyteries and the Synod of Southern California and Hawaii through its formation of Asian Presbyterian Council.
As I look back, APC has contributed significantly to the leadership training of all Asian Presbyterian churches among eight Asian ethnic groups with the support of the Synod and all Presbyteries, including private non-profit group Formosan Presbyterian Council in the USA for funding support contributed directly to new church development and its leadership training among eight Asian ethnic communities.
Although all ethnic ministry councils were dissolved in the late 2008 by the Synod Council meeting due to the change in the concept of the Synod toward the ministry of various ethnic community Presbyterian churches' leadership training, there was a strong desire and determination among those Asian Presbyterian leaders who were involved in the Asian Ministry came together spontaneously to consider formation of new and independent Asian Ministry organization, knowing we all remain and will workers of God within all Presbyterian churches.
With rapid enormous technological advancement in public communication through the birth of internet advancement in public communication through the birth of internet in teh late 1960's, followed by computer technology as you all know the birth of Asian Ministry Connection, which was recommended by Elder Loreto Remorca and Mr. Carl Corsi, our CPA who have together guided our application successfully for both incorporation by the State Government of California and IRS tax exampt 501(C)(3) status.
